"Popsicle" was released by Liberty Records in 1966 after Jan Berry’s accident and the single climbed immediately up the charts, peaking at #21 in early July 1966, the last real Jan & Dean hit. But the song, originally titled “Popsicle Truck”, had been released on the Drag City album in 1963. Liberty Records found a bunch of earlier album tracks and re-released them on the Popsicle album.
