"Sugar Town", from Nancy Sinatra's 4th album in 1966, hit the charts a week before Thanksgiving and peaked at #5 on the Billboard Hot 100 during the Christmas holidays in December 1966. It was written by Lee Hazelwood. Nancy Sinatra states on her website, "It was basically about LSD, but was not publicized as that. It was Lee's 'Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds'. It went against my image, which made it tough to choose the other songs for the same collection."
